Margarita Karalyan is a freshman in the Physics Faculty of YSU. We talked with her about choosing a profession, starting a scientific path in the future, the initial steps taken in that direction, and other topics.

As a result of the "Ph.D. students and young applicants resea՝rch support program-2022" competition, funding was guaranteed for the scientific topic "Characterization of the physiological and bioenergetic indicators of Thermus Scotoductus K1 in anoxic and oxygenated conditions", the author of which is the Ph.D. student of the Faculty of Biology of YSU Hripsime Petrosyan.

Professor Valentin Nenaidenko, Head of the Department of Organic Chemistry of Moscow State University, gave a lecture on "Dichlorodiazadienes as universal building blocks for heterocycles" at YSU Chemistry Faculty.

The scientific conference "Blasphemy and apostasy" Discourses, narratives, and practices" was organized within the framework of cooperation between Yerevan State University and Saint Petersburg European University.

Eduard Zohrabyan, Head of the Chair of the History of Armenia's Neighboring Countries of the Faculty of History of YSU, Head of the "Caucasus Studies" program, Ph.D., Associate Professor Eduard Zohrabyan attended the "Quantum" college to give a lecture and an introductory speech on the structure, history, programs and features of the specialty "Caucasus Studies".

At the initiative of the Chair of Armenian Language of YSU Faculty of Armenian Philology, prominent linguists of the republic from various scientific and educational institutions present their research at the conference on "Issues of Modern Armenian Grammar".

Reforms are continuously carried out in different faculties of Yerevan State University to improve the quality of education, strengthen students' practical skills, carry out international scientific activities, and many other directions. The Faculty of Radiophysics of YSU is also a part of the process.

The two-day international conference on "Language and Education in International Relations" is being held at the "Writers’ house’’ hotel in Tsaghkadzor at the initiative of the Diplomatic Service and Professional Communication Chair of the YSU Faculty of International Relations. More than three dozen scientists and researchers from Armenia and abroad will present reports during the conference.

In 2010, the first time in Armenia a joint double degree MS Program “Visual Computing” developed by the Faculty of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering of the University of Rostock, Germany and the Information Technologies Educational and Research Center of YSU has been launched. The development of the program has been completely supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

The Science Committee of MօESCS (Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports) RA (Republic of Armenia) has guaranteed funding for the scientific topic of "Preparation of a nanostructured sensor detecting low concentrations of hydrogen". We talked about the project with Mikael Aleksanyan, associate professor, head of YSU center of semiconductor devices and nanotechnologies.
