During the two-day visit to Artsakh, the YSU delegation took part in the construction ceremony of a house financed by YSU under the "100 Houses in Artsakh" program.
The goal of the "100 Houses in Artsakh" project is to provide housing to the displaced people of Artsakh who lost their homes as a result of the war.
The program is implemented on the initiative of Living Artsakh Foundation and the Public Television of Armenia.
As we have already informed, the idea of joining this project was discussed and approved by YSU Rectorate.
YSU acting Rector during the meeting with the President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan, noted that with this step YSU wants to show that Artsakh must live, become stronger, and the Artsakh-Armenia unity and the unity of the Armenian people have no alternative.
YSU delegation took part in wall construction process, after which Hovhannes Hovhannisyan said that in the near future YSU will take care of the educational needs of the children living in that house if they decide to study at YSU but YSU will pay attention to the needs of other families too.
At the end of the ceremony, the representatives of the YSU delegation visited Dahrav village, got acquainted with the children living there, gave them stationery, then visited the village cultural center, got acquainted with the problems and promised to support their solution.
