YSU PARTICIPATED IN THE EUROPEAN UNION "HORIZON EUROPE" PROGRAM
The Matenadaran Conference Hall hosted the European Union "Horizon Europe" program and Presentation-event of "EURAXESS-Armenia" portal, organized by the Center for Support of Scientific and Innovative Partnership and the RA National Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, Sport and the European Commission.

The aim of the event was to present the "Horizon Europe" program and the opportunities for participation, as well as the "EURAXESS-Armenia" portal.

The event was attended by representatives of various RA universities, research organizations and the scientific community, members of a number of international partner organizations made speeches.

YSU Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Public Relations Artur Israyelyan took part in the event.

He presented the opportunities for the development of the YSU scientific career.

 

YSU Vice-Rector assured that YSU has adopted the policy of open science and in the near future plans to expand not only national but also international research opportunities by being involved in the programs of "Horizon Europe" and "EURAXESS-Armenia" portal.

 

 

After the end of the 3 panel discussions, the participants had the opportunity to ask their questions to the speakers.

YSU RECTOR MET THE CHAIRMAN OF THE EURASIAN ECONOMIC COMMISSION COUNCIL DELEGATION HEADED BY M. V. MYASNIKOVICH
YSU rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, along with Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of RA Karen Trchunyan, hosted the delegation headed by Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission. For his activity and significant contribution to increasing inter-university bonds, the rector handed a certificate of gratitude to Myasnikovich.
THE THREAT OF DESTRUCTION OF ARMENIAN CULTURAL HERITAGE IN NAGORNO-KARABAKH
From 15 to 19 July 2022, a conference on "The Cultural Heritage of Artsakh" was held at the Yerevan State University and the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Vayots Dzor/Armenia. More than 30 international scholars and experts discussed the origin, historical development and current threats to cultural heritage in the region of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh). These are part of the Armenian culture and, thus, amongst the oldest heritage of Christianity.
