"WE HAVE REMAINED FAITHFUL TO OUR GREAT MISSION" YSU CHAIR OF PEDAGOGY IS 100 YEARS OLD
The event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of YSU Chair of Pedagogy, organized by YSU Pedagogy and Education Development Center, took place today in the conference hall of YSU Academic Council.

The event started with the opening speech of Nazik Harutyunyan, Director of YSU Pedagogy and Education Development Center, Head of the Chair of Pedagogy. "Today is the 100th anniversary of the YSU Chair of Pedagogy, which means a long and hard way of achievements and successes, creative work, great dedication, a great mission to educate the young generation and train qualified specialists.

 

Throughout its scientific activity, the center has set a great goal - to preserve the values created by our senior partners and to develop and raise to a new quality the scientific and educational work of the Department of Pedagogy. And today I can say with great pride that we have remained true to our great mission".

 

The effective scientific-educational activity of the Chair of Pedagogy was touched upon by the Acting Rector of YSU Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, who appreciated the local and international activity of the Chair, emphasizing the latter's contribution to the university life.

STATEMENT OF YEREVAN STATE UNIVERSITY  ADDRESSED TO INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS REGARDING THE SITUATION CREATED AS A RESULT OF THE BLOCKADE IMPOSED ON THE LACHIN CORRIDOR
Since the morning of December 12th, a group of Azerbaijani civilians disguised as environmentalists have imposed a blockade on the Goris-Stepanakert highway (the Lachin Corridor) which is currently the only route linking Nagorno-Karabakh to the outside world. On top of that, during bitterly cold winter Azerbaijan had shut off natural gas supplies leaving the civilians in the territory without heating for 75 hours.

A meeting with Armenian composer, People's Artist of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Mansuryan took place at YSU Charles Aznavour Culture Center, during which university rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan presented the maestro with YSU gold medal.
