YSU HOSTED THE PUPILS OF PHYSICAL-MATHEMATICAL SCHOOL
On the initiative of YSU Pre-university Education Department, the pupils from physical-mathematical school met with the leadership of the Faculty of Physics.

The students were greeted by Dean Rafik Hakobyan in the Conference Hall of the Faculty, who presented the faculty, educational programs, courses and schedule within the framework of cooperation with schools.

"Our main goal is to awaken love for physics, which is the basis of all natural sciences. Education is very important today. The war showed us all that one should not underestimate modern science, which is also rooted in physics. Therefore, we are ready to continue our cooperation with schools, we are ready to suffer to get a satisfactory result and to have an educated generation, "Rafik Hakobyan said.

"We must work in that direction, there are many gaps and shortcomings, especially in the defense sphere," said physicist Ashot Melkonyan.

The dean of the faculty also mentioned that the meetings with the schools and educational centers will be continuous.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH PROJECT IN COOPERATION BETWEEN RESEARCHERS OF YSU AND UNIVERSITY OF GENEVA
The research project was launched in October, 2020 and funded by Science Committee of the Republic of Armenia. The project is implemented by Yerevan State University in cooperation with Dr. Mara Tignino who is a reader and a lead legal specialist at the Faculty of Law and Institute for Environmental Sciences of the University of Geneva.

Olimpia Geghamyan, Director of the Scientific-Educational Center for Environmental Law at YSU Faculty of Law, hosted Marianna Bolshakova, a representative of the UN European Economic Commission's international team of experts, and discussed with her the problems of ecological education and upbringing in Armenia.
