THE ACTING RECTOR OF YSU HAS SENT A CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE ON THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF KNOWLEDGE
YSU acting rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan congratulated the students on the occasion of the new academic year:

Dear YSU students, Yerevan State University warmly welcomes you, the creators of the future of education and science.

New acquaintances, new knowledge and new challenges are waiting for you at YSU.

I am sure that you will keep the high title of being a student at  YSU with responsibility and will represent Yerevan State University in our homeland and abroad.

In the conditions of epidemic and war, YSU lecturers and students have make an effort to effectively overcome new challenges and avoid the mistakes of the past.

Quality education, advanced scientific thought and discipline are the weapons with which we will fight and win.

On September 1, each of us must enter YSU with a high awareness and responsibility for solving the problems of our homeland und our University.

YSU RECTOR MET THE CHAIRMAN OF THE EURASIAN ECONOMIC COMMISSION COUNCIL DELEGATION HEADED BY M. V. MYASNIKOVICH
YSU rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, along with Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of RA Karen Trchunyan, hosted the delegation headed by Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission. For his activity and significant contribution to increasing inter-university bonds, the rector handed a certificate of gratitude to Myasnikovich.
THE THREAT OF DESTRUCTION OF ARMENIAN CULTURAL HERITAGE IN NAGORNO-KARABAKH
From 15 to 19 July 2022, a conference on "The Cultural Heritage of Artsakh" was held at the Yerevan State University and the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Vayots Dzor/Armenia. More than 30 international scholars and experts discussed the origin, historical development and current threats to cultural heritage in the region of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh). These are part of the Armenian culture and, thus, amongst the oldest heritage of Christianity.
